Conference Icebreaker, Wednesday May 12, 2004
Free with registration.

Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served in the AMNH's Hall of Northwest Coast Indians. This 10,000 square foot space is on the first floor of the Museum's first building, completed in 1877. The Hall of Northwest Coast Indians has been here since 1910, and was most recently updated in 1962. Almost two thousand colorful masks, figures, totem poles, baskets, weapons, and tools are exhibited in this most atmospheric of the AMNH's galleries. The Icebreaker is being held jointly with the International Society of Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER) and is sponsored by Chart MVE.
