Learn, Teach, Meet Fascinating People

Would you like to learn about dinosaurs and share your new knowledge with others?

We will train you to become a Museum instructor!

Classes begin:

  • October 20, 2008 and run on Mondays and Wednesdays
    from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for 4 weeks

All classes are held at the Peabody. The $40 course fee will be refunded to instructors who teach at least 4 sessions.

NOTE: We are sorry, but because of transitions in the Yale Peabody Museum collections, we will not be taking any volunteers for Summer 2008. We are looking for volunteers only in the Division of Botany/Yale Herbarium. All other positions are currently filled.

It’s a great way to reach out to the community, meet friends and help with scientific research. It’s fun and fascinating! Hours are flexible.

Volunteers receive:

  • FREE admission to the Museum
  • A subscription to the Explorer membership newsletter
  • You are invited to attend any lectures sponsored by the Museum
  • You will also enjoy a 10% discount at the Museum Store.

No prior museum experience is expected. Training will be provided for all volunteers in departments throughout the Museum.
