BUS TRIP to the AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, New York City
Saturday, September 26, 2009
American Museum of Natural History, New York City
This fall we are running a second bus trip to the American Museum of Natural History for docents and volunteers. This trip will include a tour of the AMNH's two dinosaur halls by Yale Peabody Museum Educator Armand Morgan. The special exhibition Extreme Mammals: The Biggest, Smallest, and Most Amazing Mammals of All Time features specially created models of extinct creatures, videos, interactive displays, and live animals. Our AMNH Super-Saver tickets include museum admission, the Extreme Mammals exhibition, the Frogs: A Chorus of Colors special exhibition, and an IMAX® film or planetarium show.
Lunch is on your own; there are three different areas at the AMNH that serve food.
The bus will leave the Yale parking lot at Humphrey Street & Whitney Avenue promptly at 8:00 a.m. and return by 6:00 p.m.
The cost is $65 per person, which includes bus transportation, driver’s tip and an AMNH Super-Saver ticket.
To reserve your space, contact the Volunteer Office at (203) 432-3731 or peabody.volunteers@yale.edu. Indicate how many tickets you need and in what category: senior (60+), student, adult, or child (4–11). Mail checks, payable to the Yale Peabody Museum, to Volunteer Office, Yale Peabody Museum, P.O. Box 208118, New Haven, CT 06520-8118.
Direct questions about the trip to Dody Gall at (203) 288-6590 or dmgall@aol.com.
