The Natural History of Witches and Wizards:
A Peabody Halloween

Saturday, October 31, 2009
10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Live Owl Presentation
12:45 pm & 2:00 pm
Yale Peabody Museum Auditorium
Space Limited
Live owls, snakes, spiders and more!
Join us for our annual celebration of some of the animals and nature-based traditions associated with Halloween. Most nocturnal animals, often on the witch's brew ingredient list, are remarkably adapted to darkness, functioning just as easily as we can in daylight. Come learn about these "spooky" animals, among them spiders and snakes. And don't miss some of the strangest-looking specimens, from our collection rooms, that rarely see the light of day. We'll have mask-making and other fun activities for kids.
