Programs are led by expert botanists and gifted educators. Look for upcoming field trips to outstanding local sites, as well as courses at the Museum. Yale Peabody Museum members are assured 7 slots in each program. CEUs available for teachers.
The New England Wild Flower Society, one of the oldest conservation organizations in the country, promotes the conservation of temperate North American plants through education, research, habitat preservation and advocacy.
Environmental Education Committee
The Yale Peabody Museum’s Environmental Education Committee (EEC) is a branch of the Peabody Museum Associates Council. The EEC is a group of volunteers and staff dedicated to enhancing the Museum’s mission by assisting Museum staff in communicating information to the public on our region’s current environmental issues, including threats to its biodiversity. Finally, the EEC promotes steps toward ecologically sustainable practices.
