Vertebrate Zoology

Current Research

The Division of Vertebrate Zoology at Yale Peabody Museum sponsors research on the morphology, evolution, development, biogeography, ecology and behavior of vertebrates. Division staff and affiliates have recently conducted field research on multiple continents. Additionally, molecular studies conducted by Division staff have addressed population genetics, conservation, and molecular systematics of vertebrates.

The honorary titles of Faculty Affiliate and Curatorial Affiliate are given to individuals who give some of their time and expertise to the Division. Affiliates are appointed by a vote of the Board of Curators and typically serve a 5-year renewable term.
