Research in Ornithology
yale peabody Museum I am interested in the evolution and diversification of avian nests and the classification and biogeography of birds of the world. My field research includes studies of nest architecture and nesting behavior of passerine birds. I also conduct avifaunal surveys and specimen collecting, mainly in the New World tropics. Student interns could participate in these ongoing field activities or design independent field or collection-based research projects.

The Yale Peabody Museum collections include over 130,000 bird specimens representing 70% of world species, whereas the nest and egg collections contain mostly North American material.
