My research interests include the functional morphology and phylogenetics of mammals. I have studied the evolutionary morphology of several groups of extant and extinct mammals, such as primates and treeshrews (Scandentia). Current projects include:

  • Primate Origins and Supraordinal Relationships.
  • Systematics and Conservation of Rungwecebus kipunji (Primates, Cercopithecidae).
  • Systematics and Biogeography of Treeshrews (Scandentia).
  • Evolutionary Morphology of Cretaceous Mammals from Uzbekistan.

For more on Professor Sargis and his research projects see his website.
