The Yale Peabody Museum’s Division of Historical Scientific Instruments includes holdings used in mathematics and calculation.

Calculation

The calculating devices in the collection include:

• Three different Coxhead–Mercedes mechanical calculators
  (YPM catalog nos. 1.290, 1.299, 1.331)
  
• A Summira 7 calculator (YPM catalog no. 8.1)
  

The Yale Peabody Museum’s collections are available to legitimate researchers for scholarly use. Loans are issued to responsible individuals at established institutions. Loans and access to the collection can be arranged through the Collections Manager.
