EntomologyDivisional HoldingsNearly all the holdings of the Yale Peabody Museums Division of Entomology have been assembled since the late 1940s, and represent the collecting efforts of Charles L. Remington, divisional staff and affiliates, in addition to the accession of outside collections. A small portion of the holdings are from the Yale collection of the 19th century.
Specialty collections have been organized around evolutionary themes such as extinction, hybridization, mimicry, insular endemism and regional faunistic surveys (such as New England bogs, and the offshore islands of New England and California).

The Yale Peabody Museums collections are available to legitimate researchers for scholarly use. Loans are issued to responsible individuals at established institutions. Loans and access to the collection can be arranged through the Collections Manager. |
